Allotments
The Parish rents out more than 75 allotments at its site off the Reading Road.
After several years when there were vacant plots, tending an allotment has now become a very popular pastime. The demand for allotments has gone up dramatically and there is now a waiting list of over 50 Winnersh residents as well as some people from outside Winnersh (Winnersh residents take priority when allocating plots).
Recently the Parish Council has split some of the allotments into half-
The Parish runs an annual allotment competition judged by a member of the Royal Horticultural Society.

The winners of the 2010 allotment competition were presented with certificates and garden centre gift vouchers at the September Parish Council meeting.
This year’s awards went to: Bob Richards (first), Robert Wigley (second) and Terry Davies (third). Sue Taylor earned a special mention for most improved allotment.
