... and to all the stallholders and arena performers
that made the fete such a great success:

Our sincere thanks go to the following local companies that gave donations or prizes in 2010 ...

The third Winnersh Village Fete brought the Winnersh community together for a fun afternoon on 19th June. Local people turned out in large numbers to support the many voluntary groups running stalls, presenting displays and performing in the arena.

Over 50 local organisations and groups ran stalls and performed in the arena. The Parish Council also provided plenty of other attractions to keep people amused and entertained (see side panel).

All the money raised by the fete goes to charities and voluntary groups. Voluntary groups running their own stalls keep any proceeds. Money raised by the Grand Raffle and concessions goes this year to Cancer Research UK and the Berkshire Cancer Centre in commemoration of former Parish Council Chairman Judith Wilkins who died earlier this year after a long battle with cancer.
