The Winnersh Sustainable Transport Group led by Councillor Paul Fishwick is pleased to have been accepted as a member of the Community Rail Network and have adopted both Winnersh and Winnersh Triangle Stations.

The group has been engaging with Network Rail for some time and is pleased to confirm that works to remove litter and graffiti by Network Rails Teams are scheduled to take place during March. This work will be carried out during times when the trains will not be running.

The project to improve the look of the shelters on the platforms is progressing well with artwork being designed by the Wokingham Art Society having been installed.

We know that Some concerns have been raised about feelings of safety at the stations (particularly Winnersh) and contact has been made with South West Trains, British Transport Police and Thames Valley Police to work together to provide an increased presence at times when any anti-social behaviour or criminal activity is known to take place. Cllr Paul Fishwick says that both railway stations are important gateways to Winnersh and we are determined to help ensure these are kept clean, safe and attractive for our commuters and visitors.
