On Saturday Winnersh Parish Council hosted the Christmas Lights Switch On at Winnersh Community Centre.
The event, the first since 2019, hosted choirs from the local primary schools, a performance from choir The Barberettes, a gift market from local craftspeople and sellers, refreshments were provided by the parish council, St Catherine Church and 1st Winnersh Scouts. There was also a raffle raising money for Wokingham Foodbank.
Wokingham Borough Council Mayor, Cllr Beth Rowland came on to turn the lights on which was then followed by a display from fire dancer, Deanna Gould. The event ended with another performance from The Barberettes.
