Do you know someone who deserves some recognition for all the work they do in the community? Then why not nominate them for an award?
Winnersh Parish Civic Awards are made annually to individuals or voluntary organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to the community within the parish of Winnersh.
The award is normally made to between one and three nominees each year and the Selection Panel is either a working group of the Finance & General Purposes Committee or the Executive Committee depending on the timing of meetings.
Nominations must be submitted in writing to the Parish Clerk and must include all the following information:
- title, name, address (and preferably telephone number/email address) of nominee (an individual or a voluntary organisation)
- title, name, address (and preferably telephone number/email address) of person(s) nominating
- a clear statement of why the nominee deserves to be considered for the award, with a description of specific activities benefiting Winnersh as a whole or groups or individuals living in the parish of Winnersh
Nominations will not be accepted for commercial enterprises or for Councillors. Anyone can make a nomination, except that nominees cannot nominate themselves or be nominated by close relatives and nominations will not be accepted from members of the Selection Panel.
