Winnersh history, Winnersh Parish Council|

At Winnersh Parish Council we have set up a group to explore the local history of Winnersh and Sindlesham as well as preserve some archival material held by the parish council. The group is continuing the work of Winnersh and District Historical Society which disbanded in 2015.

Do you have any memories of Winnersh? Did you go to school in the area? What buildings were significant to you? Did you work in the area? We are looking for all experiences and recollections, whether it is from the First or Second World War, how transport in the area has changed, any significant weather you remember to what is your experience of the COVID-19 pandemic while living or working in Winnersh?

There are some photos on the Winnersh and District Historical Society website or view other photos of the area by turn of the 20th Century photographer, Philip Osborne Collier catalogued at the Museum of English Rural Life.

If you have any memories you would like to share please get in touch via email [email protected] to share your stories.
