On Friday 22nd March, Winnersh Parish Council welcomed children and staff from the three local primary schools to plant new trees on Bearwood Recreation Ground. The children, from Bearwood Primary School, Wheatfield Primary School and Winnersh Primary School were joined by Cllrs Fishwick, Harper and Southgate alongside Interim Winnersh Allotment Association Chair Chris Webber.
The trees were provided by The Woodland Trust under their Free Trees for Schools and Communities initiative. Three varieties of trees of tree were planted, crab apples, rowans and hazels.
