A contractor has now been appointed to carry out the work of constructing the new allotment site. Andy Glencross, WBC, answering an enquiry regarding the latest status of the new allotments:
“I will endeavour to ensure there are no further avoidable delays to the project, I do appreciate that delays to date are less than ideal. For your information we now have a programme from our contractor who will be starting on site on the 7th January and finished by the 28th February. If there is an opportunity to move fruit trees before this date I will be in touch.”
