“Following discussions with the contractor constructing the new allotment it is now apparent that we are not going to hit our deadline to have completed the works this week. The revised programme shows that the allotment will be completed by the beginning of April and should be available for occupation by the allotment holders from Monday 7th April. I appreciate that this is not the news that the PC and the allotment holders were hoping to hear and can only apologise for the inconvenience. Adam will be in touch in due course to rearrange the assisted moving days with the Parish Council which will now not be going ahead in the last two weeks of March.
In order to facilitate this slippage in the programme we have approached our other contractors Balfour Beatty and they have agreed to delay moving into the existing allotment site until 1st of May.
