Saturday 4th September 2021 saw the return of the Winnersh Summer Fete after last year’s event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event ran from 1-4.30pm and had a variety of stalls from local business, organisations and charities as well as a plenty of refreshments such as ice cream, candy floss, BBQ and teas and coffees. Children could enjoy inflatables and a climbing wall as well as circus activities.

The main arena saw events such as maypole dancing from Bearwood Primary School, football drills from Winnersh Rangers FC, wheelbarrow races, tug of war and a birds of prey display. Wokingham Borough Mayor Councillor Keith Baker MBE handed out the prizes to the winners of the tug of war and wheelbarrow race at the event of the day. There was also a classic Mini car display and a model railway exhibition for visitors to enjoy and St Sebastian Brass band entertained the crowds over the course of the afternoon.

There is still time to enter the online raffle, details found here.

With many thanks to all the stall holders and to everyone who attended and made it such a fabulous afternoon, we hope to see you again next year.
